Rep. Pat Ryan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 18th district, has recently shared his views and activities through a series of tweets. He succeeded Antonio Delgado in 2022 and has been actively involved in various community issues since then.
On June 6, 2025, Rep. Ryan expressed his stance on gun violence by stating “This Gun Violence Awareness Month, I wear orange for my kids & yours.” He emphasized that the weapons he used during combat should not be present on the streets and called for an end to gun violence, acknowledging Rep. Lucy McBath for her leadership in this area.
The following day, June 7, 2025, Ryan highlighted ongoing recovery efforts from past natural disasters by mentioning that “Orange County families have been feeling the devastating impacts of the 2023 floods for more than 2 years.” He noted that securing funding is a significant step forward for the community and extended gratitude to those who contributed to these efforts.
On June 8, 2025, Rep. Ryan participated in Kingston Pride events. He remarked on Twitter that “It was great to march in Kingston Pride today!” affirming Hudson Valley as an inclusive home for all individuals regardless of identity or orientation. He also thanked the LGBTQ Center for organizing a successful event.
Pat Ryan was born in Kingston, New York in 1982 and resides in Gardiner at age 41. A graduate of the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree obtained in 2004, he previously served as a member of the New York House of Representatives before his current congressional role.
