On Friday, Feb. 14, former Monroe Woodbury High School standouts Joseph Gonzalez and Peyton Jemison’s current college team, the Mercy Mavericks, won 5-3 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Goldey-Beacom Lightning.

The game took place at USA Baseball National Training Complex. This was their second matchup against the Lightning this season.

The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 16 at 1:30 p.m. at USA Baseball National Training Complex against Franklin Pierce Ravens.
