On Tuesday, April 8, former Monroe Woodbury High School standouts Joseph Gonzalez and Peyton Jemison’s current college team, the Mercy Mavericks, won 14-9 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Georgian Court Lions.

The game took place at Municipal Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Lions this season.

The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 3 p.m. at Sal Maglie Stadium against D’Youville Saints.
