The Newburgh City Council announced on April 17 that its upcoming Work Session and Regular Council Meeting will be held in person on the third floor of City Hall at 83 Broadway, Newburgh, NY. Both meetings will also be available for viewing via livestream on the city’s website and Facebook page, with recordings posted online at a later date.

These meetings are important opportunities for residents to stay informed about city business and participate in local governance. The council encourages public engagement by offering multiple ways to attend or submit comments.

The next Council Work Session is scheduled for Thursday, April 23, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Following this session, the council is expected to hold an executive session to discuss matters including proposed or pending litigation as well as personnel issues related to employment history or actions concerning individuals or corporations.

The Regular Council Meeting will take place on Monday, April 27, starting at 7:00 p.m., also in the Council Chambers. Members of the public may provide comments about agenda items or general city business during this meeting by attending in person. Alternatively, written comments can be submitted by email to comments@cityofnewburgh-ny.gov with “PUBLIC COMMENT ITEM” in the subject line before 4:00 p.m. on April 27.

Agendas for both meetings are available online through the city’s Agenda Center. Livestreams of each event can be accessed through the city’s official live video streaming page.

Looking ahead, these sessions provide a platform for transparency and community involvement as city officials address ongoing legal matters and other municipal concerns.
