Rep. Pat Ryan, a U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 18th district since 2022, has been active on social media addressing pressing issues affecting his constituents and broader communities. His recent posts highlight concerns over antisemitism and access to healthcare services.
On June 2, 2025, Ryan expressed his sorrow over an antisemitic attack in Boulder occurring on the eve of Shavuot. He stated “Heartbroken to hear about the blatant, cruel antisemitic attack in Boulder on the eve of Shavuot. Antisemitism has no place in our country. My heart is with Jewish communities across the Hudson Valley & nation today.” This tweet underscores his support for Jewish communities amid such incidents.
In another post on the same day, Ryan emphasized the need for equitable access to quality services in local towns within Hudson Valley. He noted “Every person in the Hudson Valley, no matter where they live, deserves access to high quality services in their own home town. Amid unprecedented threats to health care, including Medicaid, we’re marshaling every tool at our disposal to help folks with our C.A.R.E.S Van.” The C.A.R.E.S Van initiative aims to address healthcare challenges posed by threats like Medicaid cuts.
He further encouraged constituents to learn more about this initiative by directing them to additional resources: “Learn more about the C.A.R.E.S. Van & view the full schedule here: https://t.co/bHuLNG7Y5x”
Pat Ryan’s commitment reflects his ongoing dedication as a representative born in Kingston and currently residing in Gardiner after graduating from the United States Military Academy in 2004.
