Rep. Pat Ryan, who serves New York’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media platform this week to address a range of topics including Holocaust remembrance, honoring veterans, and constituent services.
On April 13, Ryan acknowledged Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day by posting: “Tonight marks the beginning of Yom HaShoah, Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day. We must never forget the 6 million Jews & millions of others who were murdered, and vow to never again let such evil return to this earth.”
The following day, April 14, he highlighted participation in an event recognizing military veterans at Stewart Airport: “It was a true privilege to join the Honor Flight ceremony at Stewart Airport this weekend. Our veterans are heroes – I’m grateful that @HonorFlightNet helps us remind them how indebted our nation is to them for their sacrifices.”
Later on April 14, Ryan informed constituents about opportunities for assistance with federal programs: “Do you need help with a federal program like Social Security, federal student loans, & more? Tomorrow, my team will be in Gardiner and New Paltz to assist you with the CARES Van – hope you’ll join!”
Pat Ryan has represented New York’s 18th district in Congress since 2022 after replacing Antonio Delgado. He previously served in the New York House of Representatives and holds a degree from the United States Military Academy. Born in Kingston in 1982 and currently residing in Gardiner, Ryan often emphasizes veteran affairs and community engagement as part of his congressional service.
