Rep. Pat Ryan, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 18th district since 2022, addressed a range of issues in a series of posts on January 21, 2026, from immigration enforcement to international military policy and local Olympic representation.
In his first post of the day, Ryan expressed concern over Immigration and Customs Enforcement activities: “The power to keep ICE from moving in, terrorizing our neighbors, and making us all less safe is in our hands:” (January 21, 2026).
Later that afternoon, he shifted focus to local sports figures competing on the world stage: “Can’t wait to cheer on @ArlingtonCSD grad Clayton DeClemente at the winter Olympics next month! Way to represent the Hudson Valley on the world stage, Clayton! We’re all rooting for you!” (January 21, 2026).
That evening, Ryan commented on U.S. foreign policy and military engagement: “The American people have made it clear: no more forever wars. No more young American lives & taxpayer money being sent to another country to enrich oil execs. I’m pushing for my War Powers Resolution to be passed to rein in the Administration’s military actions in Venezuela.” (January 21, 2026).
Ryan has served as a member of Congress since replacing Antonio Delgado in 2022 and previously served in the New York House of Representatives. Born in Kingston, New York in 1982 and currently residing in Gardiner at age 41, Ryan is also a graduate of the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 2004.
