Rep. Pat Ryan, who represents New York’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently addressed several community and national issues through his social media posts.
On January 23, 2026, Ryan highlighted local efforts to support families in need by stating, “Habitat for Humanity of Newburgh’s life-transforming work is truly awe-inspiring. It was a privilege to help welcome 3 Newburgh families into their new homes. Huge thank you Jessica Miuccio, the entire Habitat team, & its dedicated supporters for their service to our community.”
Later that day, as severe winter weather approached the Hudson Valley region, Ryan urged residents to look out for one another: “With dangerously cold weather in the forecast for the Hudson Valley, please check on neighbors who may be at risk and spread the word about local warming centers”
On January 24, 2026, Ryan criticized federal immigration enforcement practices in a post calling for accountability: “Horrific and preventable. This is what happens when the Administration refuses to hold this out-of-control agency (with a budget bigger than most militaries!) accountable. Investigate, unmask, and hold ICE accountable. Now.”
Ryan has served in Congress since 2022 after replacing Antonio Delgado and previously held office in the New York House of Representatives. Born in Kingston in 1982 and currently residing in Gardiner, he graduated from the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2004.
