Representative Pat Ryan, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 18th district since 2022, recently addressed his constituents through a series of social media posts. Ryan, born in Kingston, New York in 1982 and currently residing in Gardiner, used the platform to encourage community engagement and provide information about upcoming events and services.
On July 11, 2025, Ryan posted: “Your voice matters, and hearing from our community – especially as Trump’s incredibly harmful bill becomes law – is more important now than ever. That’s why I’m inviting everyone in the Hudson Valley to join my Telephone Town Hall, Monday at 7:30pm. I want to hear from YOU.” In this message, he highlighted the importance of constituent input following the passage of recent legislation.
In a follow-up post on the same day, Ryan stated: “I’ll be taking questions, explaining the local impacts of the bill, and laying out where we go from here. Details here: https://t.co/3YOqNvJMhj”. He indicated that he would address questions from residents and discuss how new federal laws might affect the local community.
Later that evening on July 11, Ryan directed attention to an outreach initiative: “Attention Middletown! My C.A.R.E.S. Van team is coming right to your hometown with the direct, one-on-one assistance you deserve. Stop by the Middletown Farmers Market 10am tomorrow, details below: https://t.co/pInBKCte6R”. This post promoted access to direct constituent services via his mobile assistance team.
Pat Ryan replaced Antonio Delgado as representative for New York’s 18th district in 2022 after previously serving in the New York House of Representatives. He graduated from United States Military Academy in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
