Rep. Pat Ryan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 18th district, recently shared several updates on social media regarding local community initiatives and events. Ryan, who replaced Antonio Delgado in 2022, has been actively engaging with his constituents through various platforms.
On May 16, 2025, Rep. Pat Ryan emphasized the vital role of police officers in Hudson Valley by stating “Hudson Valley police officers are heroes, and they’re entrusted with the enormous responsibility of protecting our families.” He highlighted the challenges faced by small and midsized police departments due to limited resources.
Later that day, Ryan announced an upcoming visit from his C.A.R.E.S. Van team to Wappingers Falls on May 17th. He invited residents to Brexel-Schlathaus Park at 12:30 pm for direct support services by saying “Attention Wappingers Falls! My C.A.R.E.S. Van team is coming to YOU tomorrow with direct, one-on-one support.”
In another post on May 16th, Rep. Ryan encouraged community members to participate in the Hudson Valley Kite Fest over the weekend. He described it as a “Great opportunity to enjoy the warm weather this weekend and some free family fun at Hudson Valley Kite Fest!”
Pat Ryan was born in Kingston, New York in 1982 and currently resides in Gardiner. A graduate of the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 2004, he has served New York’s communities both as a member of Congress since 2022 and previously within the state legislature.
