Rep. Pat Ryan, who represents New York’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on social media addressing recent events and community issues in the Hudson Valley.
On August 12, 2025, Ryan expressed concern for a local public safety official: “Truly heart wrenching – I’m holding Assistant Chief Lucariello in my thoughts, please join me in praying for the best & that he has a full recovery. To his family, fireteam, & the Fishkill community, the entire Hudson Valley & I are here to fully support you now & always.”
Later that evening, Ryan informed constituents about changes to upcoming community events due to weather conditions: “Due to heat, tomorrow’s Dutchess County Senior Picnic is rescheduled for Friday, but unfortunately the CARES Van event is canceled. If you need assistance with a federal program, my team will be out at next week’s Senior Picnic in Pleasant Valley or give my office a call at”.
On August 13, 2025, Ryan highlighted his ongoing support for local agriculture and food security: “When our local farmers are supported, our food banks are stocked to help our neighbors in need, our kids have nutritious meals to stay focused in class, & our local economy thrives. I’m proud to stand with our farmers & am fighting every day for the resources they need to fuel”.
Pat Ryan has served as U.S. Representative since 2022 after replacing Antonio Delgado. He previously held office in the New York House of Representatives and was born in Kingston in 1982. Ryan graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2004 and currently resides in Gardiner.
