Rep. Pat Ryan, a U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 18th district since 2022, posted a series of updates on his social media account on January 23, 2026, addressing both national policy questions and constituent services.

In a post published at 00:35 UTC, Ryan posed a question to his colleagues in Congress: “Today I asked my colleagues who they fight for. A draft dodger who called our troops suckers & losers? Oil execs looking to line their pockets? Or for the American people who have made it clear that they don’t want another regime-change forever war in pursuit of oil?” (January 23, 2026).

Later that day, at 16:17 UTC, Ryan invited constituents to seek assistance with federal programs through an event organized by his office: “Do you need help with filing a VA benefit claim, finding federal grant opportunities, or signing up for Social Security? Join my team at today’s CARES Van event at the Pine Plains Free Library for assistance with federal programs!” (January 23, 2026).

In another post at 19:52 UTC, Ryan shared links related to Dutchess County, Orange County, and Ulster County: “Dutchess County: https://t.co/aDg53pGlRZ Orange County: https://t.co/oGSNw9sjXq Ulster County: https://t.co/kVI6TAFiBQ” (January 23, 2026).

Pat Ryan has served in Congress since replacing Antonio Delgado in 2022 and previously held office in the New York House of Representatives. Born in Kingston, New York in 1982 and currently residing in Gardiner, Ryan is an alumnus of the United States Military Academy where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2004.
