Rep. Pat Ryan, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 18th district, posted a series of updates on July 28, 2025, addressing local events, public safety during a heatwave, and support for reproductive rights in the Hudson Valley.
In his first post at 15:16 UTC, Ryan shared information about upcoming community activities and resources: “Read more about our August events & the CARES Van here: https://t.co/nO9ahG1MEE”.
Later that day at 17:53 UTC, he addressed public health concerns due to extreme weather conditions: “We’re facing dangerous heat here in the Hudson Valley these next few days. Please be safe, check on your neighbors, bring pets indoors, & cool down at a neighborhood cooling center if you’re overheated. https://t.co/azRvEgCuXU”.
At 18:33 UTC on the same day, Ryan commented on recent actions by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton regarding Ulster County and Clerk Bruck’s stance on reproductive rights: “Texas AG Paxton chose the wrong community to mess with. The Hudson Valley is united behind Ulster County & Clerk Bruck. Our entire community is standing together — because true American freedom must include reproductive freedom. We’ll never give up this fight. https://t.co/q9fzK4TDLw”.
Pat Ryan has represented New York’s 18th district in Congress since replacing Antonio Delgado in 2022. Before his current role in Congress, he served in the New York House of Representatives and is originally from Kingston, New York. He resides in Gardiner and graduated from the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2004.
