Rep. Pat Ryan, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 18th district, posted a series of statements on social media addressing topics ranging from government accountability to Holocaust remembrance and immigration policy.

On January 26, 2026, Rep. Ryan wrote, “Impeachment exists as a last resort, to be used for only the most grave and egregious offenses against our country.

Weaponizing a federal agency with a budget bigger than most militaries to kill American citizens in the streets, deport US veterans, and illegally break into”.

The following day, on January 27, 2026, he marked the anniversary of Auschwitz’s liberation with the message: “81 years ago today, Auschwitz was liberated. It is our solemn duty to never forget the 6 million Jews and millions of others murdered during the Holocaust.

We must remember, so that such evil never returns to this earth.”

Later that same day, Ryan addressed local concerns about immigration enforcement in his district: “ICE’s plan for a detention facility in the Hudson Valley is un-American & against everything we stand for.
