Rep. Pat Ryan, a U.S. Congress member representing New York’s 18th district, has recently taken to social media to address concerns about political integrity and reform. Ryan, who has served in Congress since 2022 after replacing Antonio Delgado, is advocating for significant changes in the way politicians operate.

On June 4, 2025, Rep. Ryan stated “We’re here to clean things up.” This tweet was accompanied by a link directing followers to a full release detailing his proposed initiatives.

In another tweet from the same day, he emphasized the need for reform by declaring “No more getting rich off trading stocks. An end to Members of Congress becoming lobbyists. Getting rid of kickbacks for politicians’ billionaire friends.” He stressed the importance of ensuring that politicians prioritize public service over personal gain.

Further elaborating on his position, Rep. Ryan tweeted about his collaboration with like-minded lawmakers: “For too long, politicians in both parties have put their own gain ahead of what’s best for the American people.” He announced the launch of an agenda aimed at cleaning up Washington D.C., marked by the hashtag #EndCorruptionNow.

Rep. Pat Ryan was born in Kingston, New York in 1982 and currently resides in Gardiner. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
