Rep. Pat Ryan, who has represented New York’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress since 2022, recently shared a series of updates regarding constituent services and legislative developments in the Hudson Valley region. The posts, made on July 11 and July 12, address local outreach efforts through his C.A.R.E.S. Van initiative as well as his response to recent federal legislation.
On July 11, Rep. Ryan encouraged constituents unable to attend a specific event to participate in upcoming opportunities. He stated: “Can’t make it? No worries! We have an event near you soon. Learn more about the C.A.R.E.S. Van & view the full event schedule for July here: https://t.co/RTNmpJxCtt”.
The following morning, July 12, Rep. Ryan highlighted direct support available at a local venue, writing: “Do you need help navigating a federal program, or accessing your benefits? Come by the Middletown Farmers Market at 10am this morning to get direct, one-on-one support from a member of my C.A.R.E.S. Van team.”
Later that day, he addressed concerns regarding recent congressional action with another post: “Trump’s ‘Big Ugly Betrayal’ passed last week, and I know you’re wondering what it means for you, your family & our entire Hudson Valley community. On Monday I’ll be taking questions, explaining the local impacts of the bill, and laying out where we go from here.”
Pat Ryan was born in Kingston, New York in 1982 and currently resides in Gardiner. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy (2004) with a Bachelor of Science degree and previously served in the New York House of Representatives before joining Congress.
