Rep. Pat Ryan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 18th district, recently shared updates through his social media account regarding community initiatives and local events.
On July 2, 2025, Rep. Ryan announced the launch of a new initiative aimed at encouraging young readers in the Hudson Valley area. He expressed enthusiasm for introducing an all-new Summer Reading Challenge targeted at K-8 students. According to his post, “Yesterday, I was excited to launch my all-new Summer Reading Challenge for Hudson Valley K-8 students! Pat Ryan has been serving in Congress since replacing Antonio Delgado in 2022 and previously served in the New York House of Representatives. Born in Kingston, New York, he is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and resides in Gardiner.
