Rep. Pat Ryan, who represents New York’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media platform on February 9, 2026, to address community initiatives and local issues.

In a post made at 20:52 UTC, Ryan reminded constituents about an ongoing effort to support veterans, stating, “Last call: TOMORROW is the last day to drop off your Valentines for Vets at my Poughkeepsie office. We’ve delivered thousands of Valentines in the past years, let’s rally again this year to show our veterans our gratitude & thanks!” This message highlights an annual tradition of collecting valentines for veterans at his district office.

Later that evening at 23:06 UTC, Ryan addressed concerns regarding housing conditions in Newburgh. He wrote, “I am grateful to @newyorkstateag for taking on this case, and will not stop fighting alongside her on behalf of our community until their needs are met and those responsible are held accountable.” In a related tweet posted at the same time, he added, “These Newburgh residents deserve better than negligent landlords who only care about profits and have utterly failed to live up to their responsibilities.”

Pat Ryan has represented New York’s 18th District in Congress since 2022 after succeeding Antonio Delgado. Prior to his current role in Congress, he served in the New York House of Representatives. Born in Kingston, New York in 1982 and currently residing in Gardiner, Ryan graduated from the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2004.
