Rep. Pat Ryan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 18th district, recently shared updates on his activities and legislative priorities via social media. His posts covered a range of topics from local constituent services to national legislative efforts.
On June 10, 2025, Rep. Ryan announced an event at Wallkill Town Hall where his C.A.R.E.S. Van team was providing direct support to constituents until noon. He encouraged those with questions to seek assistance from his team, stating “HAPPENING SOON! My C.A.R.E.S. Van team is at Wallkill Town Hall until 12pm with the direct, one-on-one support YOU deserve.”
Later that day, he addressed the issue of gender pay disparity by marking the anniversary of the Equal Pay Act’s passage 62 years ago. He highlighted that for the first time in two decades, the gender pay gap had widened this year and expressed his commitment to addressing this issue through legislation: “The Equal Pay Act was passed 62 years ago today, yet for the first time in two decades the gender pay gap WIDENED this year.” He emphasized his efforts to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act as a solution.
In another post later that afternoon, Rep. Ryan thanked attendees who visited Wallkill Town Hall earlier and informed constituents about continued support available in Otisville until 4 p.m., encouraging further participation: “Thanks to everyone who came out to Wallkill Town Hall this morning!”
Pat Ryan has been representing New York’s 18th District since replacing Antonio Delgado in 2022 after previously serving in the New York House of Representatives. Born in Kingston and residing in Gardiner, he graduated from United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree.
