Later that day, at 17:24 UTC, Ryan attended a dedication ceremony for a new Vietnam War Veterans Memorial hosted by Saugerties VFW Post 5034. He conveyed gratitude for the invitation and highlighted the importance of remembering those who served with the words, “May we always remember heroes who served our community and country, and never forget their legacy and sacrifice” in his tweet.

Pat Ryan was born in Kingston, New York in 1982 and currently resides in Gardiner. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
