Rep. Pat Ryan, who represents New York’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on August 11, 2025, highlighting his recent activities and legislative priorities.
In his first post of the day, Ryan recognized veterans while attending a local sporting event. “Perfect day to honor our vets & watch a Renegades win!” he wrote on August 11, 2025.
Later that afternoon, Ryan addressed support for military families and bipartisan cooperation in Congress. On August 11, 2025, he posted: “Our military families make huge sacrifices for us and I’m proud that colleagues from both sides of the aisle are joining me to deliver for them. Read more about how we’re fighting to ensure that military families have the same access to health care as every American family.”
In another post that evening, Ryan thanked the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce and local business owners for hosting him during discussions about economic challenges facing Hudson Valley businesses. On August 11, 2025, he stated: “Thanks to the @Ulster_Chamber for hosting me & local business owners for a conversation on the uncertainty & hardship the tariffs are causing & how we together can fight back for our Hudson Valley community.”
Pat Ryan has served in Congress since replacing Antonio Delgado in 2022 and previously held office in the New York House of Representatives. Born in Kingston in 1982 and currently residing in Gardiner, Ryan is an alumnus of the United States Military Academy at West Point.
