Rep. Pat Ryan, a U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 18th district, recently shared several statements on social media addressing community safety, economic concerns, and constituent services. Having served in Congress since 2022 after succeeding Antonio Delgado, Ryan is actively engaging with his constituents through various initiatives.
On May 12, 2025, Rep. Pat Ryan acknowledged the efforts of police officers during National Police Week. He expressed gratitude towards the officers serving in #NY18 and emphasized his legislative priorities by stating “This National Police Week, I want to thank the police officers of #NY18 for your service to our communities.” He further mentioned his support for the Invest to Protect Act, emphasizing that “when we take care of our cops – our kids, our communities, and our country are all safer.”
Later on May 12, Rep. Ryan addressed economic challenges faced by families in Hudson Valley. He highlighted the affordability crisis by tweeting “No parent should have to choose between putting a roof over their head or food on the table.” Stressing the need for action against this crisis, he affirmed his commitment to ensuring that no family is left struggling.
On May 13, Rep. Ryan offered assistance to those needing help with federal programs via his C.A.R.E.S. Van initiative. He invited constituents to meet his team for support by announcing “Need help accessing benefits or navigating a federal program? My team is here to help!” The van was scheduled to visit New Windsor at 10 am the following day.
Pat Ryan was born in Kingston, New York in 1982 and currently resides in Gardiner. A graduate of the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 2004, he continues to serve his district actively.
