Rep. Pat Ryan, a U.S. Congress member representing New York’s 18th district since 2022, has recently engaged with his constituents through social media to discuss pressing legislative matters and community events.
On July 10, 2025, Rep. Ryan emphasized the importance of community engagement in light of recent legislative developments. He stated, “Your voice matters, and hearing from our community – especially as this incredibly harmful bill becomes law – is more important now than ever.” He invited constituents to tune in at 7:30 pm on Monday for further details.
In another post on the same day, Rep. Ryan addressed the passage of a controversial bill referred to as Trump’s “Big Ugly Betrayal.” He expressed his desire to hear from his constituents by announcing a Telephone Town Hall scheduled for the following Monday. He explained that during this event he would be “taking questions, explaining the local impacts of the bill, and laying out where we go from here.”
Later that day, Rep. Ryan thanked attendees of a C.A.R.E.S. Van stop in Beacon for their participation. He conveyed his commitment to serving the Hudson Valley community by providing accessible services locally, stating “It is an honor to serve our community, and to help people in every corner of the Hudson Valley access the high-quality services they deserve – right in their own home town.”
Pat Ryan was born in Kingston, New York in 1982 and currently resides in Gardiner. A graduate of the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 2004, he succeeded Antonio Delgado as representative after previously serving in the New York House of Representatives.
