Rep. Pat Ryan, who has represented New York’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress since 2022, recently addressed constituents through a series of public communications on social media. The posts highlight his ongoing engagement with the Hudson Valley community and express views on issues affecting local residents and service members.
On July 14, 2025, Rep. Ryan invited the public to participate in a live telephone event: “HAPPENING NOW! Dial (833) 980-3644 or visit https://t.co/jhGnN7HD8M NOW to tune into my Telephone Town Hall. I’ll be on until 8:30 and I want to hear from YOU!” This outreach was part of his effort to directly connect with constituents.
The following day, July 15, he emphasized the importance of accessible local services for all residents of the Hudson Valley: “Every person in every corner of the Hudson Valley deserves access to quality services, right in their own home town. This afternoon, join my C.A.R.E.S. Van team in Poughkeepsie for the direct, one-on-one assistance YOU deserve.” The message promoted an event aimed at providing personalized support within the community.
Later that same day, Rep. Ryan expressed strong support for military personnel while criticizing actions by Pete Hegseth: “I love our men and women in uniform. I hate what Hegseth is doing to them.”
Pat Ryan was born in Kingston, New York in 1982 and currently resides in Gardiner. He graduated from United States Military Academy in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree and previously served in the New York House of Representatives before entering Congress.
