Rep. Pat Ryan, a U.S. Congress member representing New York’s 18th district since 2022, recently shared updates on various community initiatives through his social media platform. His posts highlight efforts to assist constituents with Social Security benefits, address infrastructure concerns in Orange County, and celebrate local educational achievements.
On June 2, 2025, Rep. Ryan emphasized the availability of his team to help residents with issues related to Social Security benefits, taxes, and healthcare. He encouraged individuals to attend nearby events for assistance: “Whether you need help navigating your Social Security benefits, have questions about your taxes, or are worried about your health care, my team is here to help – come to an event near you!”
Later that day, he addressed a significant safety concern affecting Orange County families for over two years—a potential dam collapse threatening homes and infrastructure. He celebrated progress made in mitigating this risk: “For more than 2 years, Orange County families have been at risk of a devastating dam collapse that would severely damage homes, businesses, and infrastructure. This is a huge win for our community – let’s keep up the momentum!”
In another post on June 2nd, Rep. Ryan recognized the achievements of students involved in Place Corps Kingston’s service learning program by awarding certificates to graduates: “Place Corps Kingston is a service learning program that places students in service opportunities. Last week, my team awarded their inspiring young group of graduates with certificates. Congratulations to all the grads & thank you for your work bettering our community!”
