Rep. Pat Ryan, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 18th district, marked the 90th anniversary of Social Security with a series of posts on August 14, 2025, highlighting his office’s efforts to provide constituent services and protect local access to federal programs.
In one post from August 14, Ryan announced: “My team is celebrating the 90th Anniversary of Social Security by bringing direct, one-on-one assistance with Social Security & federal programs to the Blooming Grove Town Hall. Later that day, he referenced community advocacy regarding local Social Security services: “Everyone deserves easy access to their Social Security. When DOGE threatened to close the Poughkeepsie Social Security Office, our community rallied to save it. That’s the power of our voices. #90YearsOfSocialSecurity” This post emphasized public involvement in maintaining access to government benefits.
