On July 18, Ryan stated, “I fought tooth & nail to deliver for the Hudson Valley in this year’s defense bill. I’m proud that in addition to a game-changing pay increase for our troops, I also secured landmark expansions in our counter-drone capabilities & bolstered efforts to clean up PFAS at Stewart.” He followed up with another post emphasizing the broader impact of the legislation: “The bill is a major win for Hudson Valley families and the country as a whole. In a tweet dated July 19, Ryan recognized local law enforcement leadership: “Congratulations to Kingston’s new Deputy Chief of Police, Ricky Negron! Pat Ryan has represented New York’s 18th district since 2022 after replacing Antonio Delgado. Before his congressional tenure, he served in the New York House of Representatives. Born in Kingston, New York in 1982 and currently residing in Gardiner, Ryan graduated from the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2004.
