Rep. Pat Ryan, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 18th district, expressed his appreciation for local emergency services and detailed recent discussions with Hudson Valley EMS teams in a series of posts on August 8, 2025.
In one post, Ryan thanked various departments for their service and participation: “Grateful for every department that attended for their invaluable contributions to our conversations & for their courageous service to our Hudson Valley communities: @UlsterCounty911, the Ulster County Divisions of Fire & Emergency Services & EMS Council,” (August 8, 2025).
He also described a meeting focused on the needs of emergency medical teams in the region: “Today, I met Hudson Valley EMS teams to discuss the resources they need to save lives & protect our communities & how I’m going to keep fighting with everything I’ve got to make sure they have everything they need to keep us safe. Huge thank you to @marlborosd for hosting! https://t.co/DSPyhuFwxx” (August 8, 2025).

Pat Ryan has represented New York’s 18th district in Congress since replacing Antonio Delgado in 2022. Before his tenure in Congress began that year, he served in the New York House of Representatives. Born in Kingston in 1982 and currently residing in Gardiner at age 41, Ryan is a graduate of the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree.
