On March 11, 2025, Rep. Pat Ryan declared his opposition to ongoing disruptions and harmful policies by stating “I refuse to vote for a continuation of the chaos, closures, and harm.” He emphasized his dedication with the statement “I will always fight for YOU.”

The following day, March 12, 2025, Ryan addressed concerns about federal program cuts impacting Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare. He announced efforts to assist affected individuals through the C.A.R.E.S Van initiative. In his words: “Amidst the cuts, closures and uncertainty with federal programs like Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare…” The initiative aims to provide one-on-one assistance throughout New York’s 18th district.
