Rep. Pat Ryan, currently serving as the U.S. Congressman for New York’s 18th district, posted a series of updates on social media between February 17 and 18, 2026, highlighting community observances, constituent services, and educational outreach.

On February 17, Ryan acknowledged the beginning of Ramadan for constituents in his district by posting: “Wishing all who are beginning their observance of Ramadan this evening across NY-18 a meaningful and blessed holiday.”

The following day, he encouraged residents needing help with federal programs to attend events organized by his team. In his post from February 18, he stated: “If you need assistance with a federal program like Social Security, Medicare, & more, join my team at today’s CARES Van events at the LaGrange Association Library & the Beekman Town Hall. Hope they’ll see you there!”

Later that day, Ryan thanked physical education teachers from SHAPE America for meeting with his staff to discuss supporting physical education in schools. He wrote: “Thank you to PE teachers from @SHAPEAmerica for meeting with my team to discuss how we can support physical education in schools & give our kids the resources to lead active & healthy lives.”

Pat Ryan has represented New York’s 18th congressional district since 2022 after succeeding Antonio Delgado. Prior to his current role in Congress, he served in the New York House of Representatives. Born in Kingston in 1982 and now residing in Gardiner, Ryan is a graduate of the United States Military Academy.
