Rep. Pat Ryan, who represents New York’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to address issues affecting Hudson Valley business owners and reproductive healthcare access in New York.

On September 23, 2025, Ryan posted about the economic challenges facing local businesses and consumers, stating: “Hudson Valley business owners & consumers alike can’t afford this burden. It’s time to stand our ground, and loudly call out these harms where we see them:”.

Later that day, he turned his attention to healthcare policy, criticizing former President Donald Trump’s approach to reproductive health funding. In a post at 19:44 UTC, Ryan wrote: “Trump’s funding cuts will tear away access to affordable reproductive healthcare for thousands of New Yorkers. The cuts are anti-woman & anti-freedom. I’ll keep fighting back against the far-right’s relentless attacks on women’s reproductive rights.”.
