Assemblyman Karl Brabenec announced that his resolution (K539) recognizing Emergency Medical Services Week from May 18 to 25, 2025, passed the Assembly with unanimous support.

“Our EMS workers are the first to respond in our moments of greatest need,” said Brabenec. “This resolution is a small but meaningful way to say thank you to the heroes who save lives every single day.”

Brabenec commended both volunteer and professional EMS personnel for their dedication, particularly in underserved and rural communities. He described the resolution as a first step toward increased support for EMS providers across the state.

“Recognizing EMS Week is important—but the real goal is to make sure these heroes have the tools and resources they need to keep doing their jobs,” he added.
