GREENE COUNTY: Front-Line Workers

Coronavirus

Greene County issued the following announcement on May 7.

The Greene County Legislature sincerely thanks all Front-Line Workers for their efforts during the COVID-19 crisis and for taking precautions that minimize the spread of this infection. This not only includes healthcare workers and first responders, but grocery store employees, delivery persons, restaurants providing curbside pickup, and any employee or business owner that comes in direct contact with those outside their household.

We also specifically recognize the exceptional, ongoing efforts of our Greene County Department of Public Health.

The County team of Nurses and Public Health Professionals is intensely dedicated to minimizing the impact of COVID-19 on our communities and businesses.  Many have been working 7-days a week since the onset of this crisis: facilitating testing through the NYS Department of Health, monitoring and tracking individuals under quarantine, and fielding innumerable questions from the public and municipal leaders. They deserve our complete gratitude and respect as they continue their vitally important work.

Stay Safe, Stay Strong, and Help Others Where You Can.

Chair – Greene County Legislature
