Census Bureau: 78.7% of people in Sullivan County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 78,230 citizens living in Sullivan County in 2021, 78.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 61,525 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 31,734 were male, constituting 51.6%, and 29,791 were female, making up 48.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Sullivan County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 79%.
