There was a single gas station in cities across Ulster County selling premium gas at the lowest price of $3.90 per gallon in the week ending May 11, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average cost of premium gas in cities within Ulster County was $4.40 per gallon.

Of the 17 gas stations in cities within Ulster County, four offer premium gas.

The $4.52 average price of premium gas in New York was unchanged from the previous week.

Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year's end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51. An outlook published in late 2023 suggests that gas rates will continue to fall in 2024.
