Rep. Pat Ryan, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 18th district since 2022, recently expressed his concerns and initiatives through a series of tweets. The tweets address various issues ranging from social program uncertainties to community celebrations and legislative actions.

On January 28, 2025, Rep. Pat Ryan voiced his concern over the uncertainty surrounding essential programs such as Medicaid. He stated: "It’s scary, confusing and dangerous that folks don’t know whether programs they depend on will exist tomorrow." He emphasized the seriousness of the situation by adding, "This isn’t a game," and highlighted his determination to continue fighting against potential threats to these programs.

The following day, on January 29, 2025, he extended well-wishes to his constituents by tweeting: "Wishing our entire Hudson Valley community a Happy Lunar New Year and a healthy #YearOfTheSnake!" This message was directed towards celebrating cultural diversity within his community.

Later on January 29, Rep. Ryan announced a legislative initiative aimed at reducing grocery costs for families in Hudson Valley. In collaboration with Rep. Mike Lawler, he tweeted: "With @RepMikeLawler, I'm leading the Lower Grocery Prices Act because Hudson Valley families are spending way too much of their hard-earned income just to put food on the table." He underscored the importance of taking direct action to alleviate financial burdens on families.
