Rep. Pat Ryan urges EPA action against General Electric pollution

Representative Pat Ryan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for New York's 18th district, has been vocal on various issues concerning his constituents. His recent series of tweets address significant environmental and community concerns.

On March 14, 2025, Rep. Pat Ryan tweeted about General Electric's impact on Hudson Valley families: "For decades, General Electric has put their profits ahead of the health and safety of Hudson Valley families... I'm leading 15 of my colleagues from NY & NJ in urging the EPA to rule that GE must resume further clean-up... The time for talking is over; the time for action is now."

In a follow-up tweet posted on the same day, he highlighted his commitment to addressing environmental concerns affecting his constituents' water supply: "For our communities, for the over one-hundred thousand of my constituents who rely on the Hudson for drinking water, working with partners like @riverkeeper and @scenichudson, we need to right this historic wrong... Ryan invited his followers to an upcoming town hall meeting to discuss ongoing matters in Washington D.C. and across the Hudson Valley: "I want to make sure you hear directly from me on everything going on in DC and across the Hudson Valley... Please join me for a town hall next week!"
