Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills has received a $50,000 donation from the 47th Annual WSUL Heart-A-Thon. The event was held on February 21 at Resorts World Catskills. Les Kristt, who chairs the Heart-A-Thon Committee for 98.3 WSUL, and Dawn Ciorciari, General Manager of Bold Gold Media Group, presented the check to the hospital.
According to organizers, Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills is a regular beneficiary of this annual fundraiser. The funds will support heart disease treatment, education, and prevention efforts in Sullivan County. This year’s donation will help purchase telemonitor transmitters, a central monitoring system, and bedside monitors.

Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills provides healthcare services to residents in Sullivan County and nearby areas. The hospital holds accreditation from DNV GL Healthcare and has received several recognitions for quality care and patient safety. These include awards from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association and repeated honors as one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals for patient satisfaction by the Chartis Center for Rural Health.
The Grover M. Hermann Hospital division has also earned Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Awards for emergency care over multiple years.
