Putnam County issued the following announcement on Oct 28.
On Friday, October 23rd the Putnam County Youth Bureau in partnership with Philipstown Recreation hosted their first ever free drive-thru Trunk-or-Treat.
The event had a “Spooktacular turnout” with approximately 110 children dressed in costumes that drove through in vehicles. This function could not have been such a success without the gracious contributions of eight additional organizations throughout the Putnam County community who joined us dressed in costumes, handing out candy & treats from their Halloween decorated vehicle trunks.
We cannot express our gratitude more for such a great turnout from the community, and from the support of Philipstown Recreation for providing the space to hold this event and for all the amazing organizations (Cold Spring Fire Co., Cornell Coop. Ext., CoveCare Center, Green Chimneys, Julia L. Butterfield Library, Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corps., Prevention Council, Putnam County’s Sheriff Langley Jr., Deputy Kraisky, Deputy Vigna and the Sheriff Cadets) who participated in this event!
