On February 7, 2025, Rep. Pat Ryan announced via Twitter that he had collaborated with all three County Sheriffs to advocate for the HALT Fentanyl Act. He stated, "Alongside all three of our County Sheriffs, I pushed hard to get the HALT Fentanyl Act on the floor." The legislation has passed the House and is seen as a significant advancement in enhancing public safety in Hudson Valley and combating fentanyl.

In a subsequent tweet on the same day, Rep. Ryan emphasized the ongoing nature of this battle against drug trafficking. He tweeted, "But we have to keep up the urgency." He reiterated his commitment to removing fentanyl from communities and holding traffickers accountable.

Later that day, Rep. Ryan addressed another pressing issue concerning data privacy. He tweeted about receiving numerous calls from constituents worried about their private data security. In response, he announced his leadership role in advancing the Taxpayer Data Protection Act to safeguard privacy against perceived threats from Elon Musk's actions. He shared via Twitter, "Over the past week, my office has been flooded with calls from constituents..."
