On Sunday, March 9, at 2:00 a.m., clocks will move forward by one hour as Daylight Savings Time begins. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warns that this change can disrupt sleep patterns, potentially leading to health issues, increased traffic accidents, and workplace safety incidents.

In anticipation of Sleep Awareness Month in March, Dr. Ellen Bradley from Garnet Health Sleep Medicine shared insights on Radio Chatskill about the significance of sleep. She discussed tips for maintaining healthy sleep hygiene and addressed common sleep disorders.

Dr. Bradley emphasized the importance of good sleep habits and how they can mitigate some negative effects associated with Daylight Savings Time adjustments.
