Garnet Health names employees of the year for 2024

Garnet Health has announced the winners of its 2024 Employees of the Year Award. The recipients are Destiny Arroyo, a medical assistant at Garnet Health Doctors’ Monticello location, and Enrique “Rick” Rodriguez, a courier for the health system. Both employees have been recognized for their embodiment of Garnet Health’s core values: compassion, excellence, and dedication.

“At Garnet Health, we take great pride in recognizing the dedication and excellence of our team members,” stated Jonathan Schiller, president and CEO of Garnet Health. “I am proud to honor Destiny and Rick, who have gone above and beyond in their commitment to patient care, teamwork and service to our community.”

Destiny Arroyo is noted for her dedication to patients. She notably assisted a patient in obtaining necessary compression devices by coordinating with vendors and ensuring insurance coverage. Her actions ensured that the patient could continue treatment without interruption.

Enrique “Rick” Rodriguez is praised for his role as a courier. He has been instrumental in community initiatives such as coordinating deliveries for holiday collections and delivering food for the Food Farmacy program. His efforts ensure that patients receive essential resources post-discharge.

Both honorees have shown kindness and compassion towards those they interact with, creating an appreciated environment for patients and families.

The Employees of the Year are chosen from among 24 Employees of the Month at Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills and Garnet Health Medical Center.
