Rep. Pat Ryan, currently serving New York’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of statements on social media addressing local issues and national concerns. The posts highlight his involvement with community services and his stance on federal administrative actions.

On February 19, 2025, Rep. Pat Ryan expressed gratitude towards the firefighters from Greenwood Lake FD for their dedication to community safety. He joined them to acknowledge their efforts during past incidents, including a wildfire in November. "Last night I joined firefighters from Greenwood Lake FD to thank them for their tireless work protecting our community, including during last November's wildfire."

Later that day, Ryan criticized the previous administration and recent actions by Elon Musk that he believes are detrimental to seniors in Hudson Valley. He commented on changes within the Social Security Administration under Musk's influence, suggesting these moves negatively impact local families. "The chaos of the Trump Administration is directly hurting our Hudson Valley seniors."

In another post made shortly thereafter, Ryan called for immediate action to protect social security benefits through proposed legislation he supports. He emphasized ensuring benefits remain secure and accessible nationwide through his 'Protecting Social Security Act'. "Folks are concerned, and rightfully so; we need to act now."
