Graduates earn 602 degrees, certificates from Mount Saint Mary College

About 32.7 percent of the 602 degrees and certificates handed out by Mount Saint Mary College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Newburgh conferred 155 bachelor's degrees and 33 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 155 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 63 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management and 47 bachelor's degrees in general psychology.

The college enrolled 2,352 students for 2017-18, including 2,005 in undergraduate programs and 347 in graduate programs.
