Cost of college went down for all students at Ulster County Community College

In-state tuition and fees fell 0.3 percent for 2018-19 at Ulster County Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New York residents paid $5,340 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $14 less than the $5,354 charged for 2017-18.

Non-resident students would have paid 83.9 percent more than residents this year, or $9,820. Non-resident tuition and fees were reduced 0.1 percent from $9,834 in 2017-18.

100 percent of the school's undergraduate population are New York residents.

Data shows 84 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 375 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.4 million and 90 students took out student loans totaling more than $400,344.

Including all undergraduates (3,554), 1,237 students used grants or scholarships totaling $6.9 million, and 459 students took out $2.2 million in federal student loans.
