3.7 percent of State University of New York at New Paltz students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 3.7 percent of State University of New York at New Paltz students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

State University of New York at New Paltz has 6,692 undergraduate students, of which 61 percent are women and 39 percent are men, and a total student body of 7,608 students. Of these students, 118 men and 160 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at State University of New York at New Paltz with the most participants are soccer (48), swimming (36) and volleyball (34).
